Abstract

Currently the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan is characterized by low productivity due to low crop yields and livestock
productivity , the use of outdated technologies , production of products with low added value , low innovation activity of
the industry. Wheat production exceeds the level of national consumption and the surplus is exported to the developed
world average price. Relatively low in comparison with world level indicators of labor productivity , productivity in
crop productivity in livestock , the presence of extensive agricultural land creates the potential for intensive development
of agribusiness . In the face of rising global demand for food, the untapped potential of agribusiness in Kazakhstan is
an important driving force for the growth of investment in agriculture and processing that will allow Kazakhstan to
become one of the world’s leading food manufacturers .
