Abstract

This article is devoted to analysis of current problems in securing transparency in the activities of public authority bodies in Kazakhstan. All spheres of activities of these public authority bodies should be transparent as they demonstrate their high efficiency and accountability. Today in Kazakhstan, the right of each individual to access to reliable and objective information is exercised. This right contributes to the fight against corruption and increases citizens’ confidence in the high efficiency of the activities of public authority bodies. The transparency principle is gradually introduced in the activities of public authority bodies of Kazakhstan. Despite all measures undertaken, however, there are still a number of problems. The public authority bodies of Kazakhstan have a low level of transparency, which gives rise to corruption. The principle of accountability of public authority bodies does not function properly in all spheres of public life.
