Criminological characteristics of persons, committing criminal offenses in the sphere of economic activity

Abstract

In this paper, the authors discuss issues of criminological characteristics of perpetrators of criminal offenses in the sphere of economic activity. A distinctive feature of the considered range of people is the high level of education, highly intelligent methods («the scheme») of committing criminal acts. Particularly noteworthy are the author’s argument about the need to allocate a separate category of criminological «businessman-delinquent». In addition, the article examines the impact of experience in large corporations in the process of forming a criminal orientation of the person. Special attention is given to the authors on business groups representing a particular danger to the state and society.
