Abstract

This article examines activities of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources in the field of protection of ecology of the country. Attention is given to the notion of the state mechanism and ecological functions of the state.The stages of ecological zoning has been described. It was justified that the Ministry should adopt new functions aimed at conducting environmental zoning.
